GV II
Pair of cottages and adjoining cottages. Circa early C19, extended later C19. Painted rubble walls. Grouted scantle slate hipped roofs. Asbestos slate over C20 addition at rear left. Cast-iron ogee-section gutters. Plan: Pair of one-room-plan cottages with slightly later one-room-plan cottage on the left and one-room-plan former service wing at right angles behind the middle of the pair of cottages. C20 extensions behind left-hand cottage and behind the left- hand side of the pair of cottages. The group is now 2 houses. Exterior: 2 storeys (over basement at right-hand end). Overall 3 window south west front. Original pair of cottages on the right has identical 1-window fronts with doorways on the right of each cottage. The cottage on the left has hipped end; the doorway is on the right. The first floor window is enlarged in the C20. One original 4-panel door (with later glazed top panels) to the middle cottage. The pair of cottages has its original 16-pane hornless sashes at the front and one at the ground floor of the right-hand end. This end has a doorway to a basement, possibly originally a fish cellar. The rear wing has circa late C19 16-pane horned sashes. Interior: Not inspected.
