Details
TA 0339 BEVERLEY MINSTER MOORGATE (south side) 8/176 No 93 1.3.50 GV II Built by M Constable, circa 1758. Two storeys and attic in red brick with pantile roof. Plinth. Two C18 sash windows to first floor, otherwise large area of blank wall with good brickwork. Heavy 6-panel door with large lion mask knocker and 3-pane rectangular fanlight. Oversailing brick courses to eaves, iron gutter, tumbled brickwork to gable end which has a sash window. Front to Lairgate has 3 sash windows to first floor, three to ground floor, hung sashes with glazing bars except one blank. Moulded brick cornice. Modern flat tiled roof. Spur stone at corner. Garden front to south has informal shape and fenestration, with triple window set in projecting brickwork with ogee bracketed cornice. Two gabled dormers with leaded lights in pantile roof. Staircase with open string, turned balusters on simply moulded handrail. One room wainscotted to three feet height, plaster dentilled cornice.
