SE 85 SE WARTER ADDLEKELD (east side) 6/46 Row of 3 cottages opposite Warter School.

II

Three cottages. Late C19. Red brick in English garden wall bond, with detailing in blue and white brick, slate roofs. Symmetrical elevation: 2 storeys, 5 bays. Central 3 bays break forward to porch with segmental- headed opening turned in gauged brick with keystone and impost band of white, dentilled, and blue brick. Gabled roof on exposed truss incorporating open trefoil tracery. Boarded door flanked by tripartite windows with horizontal glazing bars under chamfered, segmental, gauged brick heads. Left and right wings have boarded doors, in re-entrant angles under timber porches with hipped roofs, and 2-light casement windows with horizontal glazing bars under chamfered, segmental, gauged brick heads. First floor decorative band of white, dentilled, and blue brick. First floor: round headed window under gablet to centre flanked by 2-light casements with horizontal glazing bars under segmental brick heads. Similar windows, under gablets, to left and right wings. Oversailing eaves, external end stacks with tumbled-in brick to offsets and blue-brick diapering, large axial stack with separate flues, half-hipped roof. All stacks heightened in C20.
