Row of 4 houses in 2 pairs, now office and 3 houses. Early to mid C19, slightly
altered. Cross-wall construction, with stone cross walls and slate-hung front and
rear walls, slate roofs and brick chimneys. Rectangular double-depth plan, divided
into 2 halls-adjoining pairs. Two storeys and 4+4 bays, but Nos.9 and 10 slightly
lower than Nos.7 and 8; plinth of dressed granite blocks, and the cross-walls
faced with channelled granite; each pair is ymmetrical: coupled doorways in the
centre with simple architraves which have plain friezes and shallow dentilled
cornices (missing from No.7), and recessed doors (that to No.7 panelled, but the
others altered) with overlights; each house has one window at ground floor and 2
above, mostly of 4-paned sashes (except No.9, which has 12- and 16-paned
windows at 1st floor. Projecting eaves, chimneys at the gables of each pair.
Rear has various sashed windows with glazing bars. Interiors not inspected.
