2/322 Barn with attached horse engine shed about 25 metres south east of Sheviock Barton Farmhouse
GV II
Barn with attached horse engine shed. Mid C19, on site of and containing fabric from C14 tithe barn. Banded slatestone and sandstone rubble with half-hipped slate roof. Barn over shippon; the barn has 5 openings at ground floor to front and central loading door corresponding to rear central door. Addition to front right and engine shed attached to rear left. Front has 5 doorways with stone segmental heads, the 2 to right concealed within the addition. Central wide loading door, with segmental head and slate hood. Cross set in wall at upper left probably of early C20 and 2-light casement. The addition to front right has 2 segmental-headed openings at ground floor and 2-light casement under eaves to front. To the left, there is a straight joint to a lower addition also in banded rubble, with segmental-headed door; half-hipped end roof to left. 6-pane light in lower left end, and single storey shed attached to end, in rubble. To rear, central wide door with hood and single storey rubble lean-to to left. Attached to rear right, polygonal engine shed with door to end and window to side. Door to rear of lower addition to right. Interior not inspected.
