4/317 Crelly House, including garden - walls surrounding house and gate- piers at the front
GV II
Farmhouse, garden walls and gate-piers. Circa mid C19. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Slurried scantle slate hipped roof. Cast-iron ogee section gutters. Plan: Double depth plan with 2 equal-sized rooms at the front flanking a central entrance hall leading to a stair hall between 2 service rooms. Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window south front with central doorway. Original door and windows; 6-panel door (top panels later glazed) and overlight; 12- pane hornless sashes. Original sashes also at rear including round-headed stair sash. Interior: Not inspected but possibly as complete and unaltered as the exterior. Painted rubble garden walls adjoin house on the right at both front and rear and enclose a rectangular garden which contains the house. Aligned with the front doorway of the house is a gateway with concave quadrant-on-plan side walls and round- headed granite monolithic piers. C20 gate.
