Hotel. Two principal building periods in C18. Some work was done by Sir John Soane between 1791-4. Red brick and some burnt brick, Flemish bond. Timber framing, plaster rendered to part of rear wall. Plain tiled roof hipped to south end and plaster coved eaves. Internal stack, off the ridge. Two storeys and attic. Three hipped dormers. Five first floor twelve pane C19 hung sashes with glazing bars under C18 clear red gauged brick flat arches. Three brick band between storeys. Similar arches to three ground floor hung sashes and doorway. The hotel was extended later in the century on the north. Red brick and plain tiled roof. Two storeys and attic. One gable dormer. Three window range of twelve pane hung sashes with clear, red brick flat arches and surrounds. Other domestic extension and out buildings of late C18 and early C19 were made in the north end. Red and gault brick with plain tiled roofs. Interior: Modernised but retaining a staircase similar to those at Nos 113, 115 Ermine Way with newel post with moulded top and cross brace balusters.
