1/50 Walk Mill Bridge - GV II
Bridge over River Darwen, probably early C19. Sandstone. Single arch with differing treatment to north and south sides. North side of squared sandstone blocks with simple rusticated voussoirs to the arch and flat pilasters at each side. South side of ashlar with an extrados to the arch composed of splayed voussoirs carried up to the band, and more prominent pilasters each side. Both sides have parapets with ridged coping, that on the south side curved round at the west end to a cylindrical pier which forms a pedestal to one pier of the gateway to Feniscowles Hall. More elaborate treatment of south side probably designed to grace the north drive from Feniscowles Hall; but now largely obscured by sewer pipe.
