5/23 The Dell -
- II
House,early Cl8with late C19 extensions to each end. Rendered stucco and slate roof. 2 storeys symmetrical plan to early C19 part but irregularly extended 2 storeys to left and right and outshut to rear (facing road). The extension at upper end on south side has large coupled timber sashes, plated each cash, over canted bay with plated side sashes and French window. To right brick stacks with square pedimented chimney pots at each gable end of Gothick facade with 3 square-headed 2-light timber casement windows with Gothick pointed arch glazing bars above 3 panes per casement. Two larger, storey height timber French windows to same pattern as above each side of slated porch probably later with sundial and ½ glazed door of 4 panes with pointed head & glazing bars in the upper panes. Lower extension has lean-to greenhouse with timber glazing bars and brick stack and Gothick timber windows similar to above. Internal Gothick doorcases and pointed arched ceiling to first floor room at west end.
