10/299 Nos 20 to 34 (even) 31.1.75 GV II

Circa 1840 to 50 Row of 3-storey houses of which Nos 20 to 28 in red brick are slightly earlier; Nos 30 to 36 are in grey brick. 1st floor painted stone or stucco cill band. Low slate roof with flat eaves on spaced brackets. Nos 30 to 36 slightly taller, with eaves band and bead mould-brackets to No 30 only. One window each, except No 26 and 34 with 2; recessed sashes, with glazing bars to Nos 20 to 28, all with flat stucco arches, those of Nos 30 to 36 with incised voussoirs. Slender panelled pilaster doorways to Nos 20 to 28; broader plain pilasters to Nos 30 to 36. The cornices of Nos 20 to 28 have small modillions, Nos 32 and 34 have a paired doorway, 4-panel doors with rectangular fanlights.
