House, formerly an inn. Late C16 or early C17. Timber-framed and plastered
with applied timber decoration. Half hipped plain tile roof. Plastered
plinth. Stack to left hand. Two storeys with cellar. Three unit, lobby
entry plan. Modern gabled extension to right hand, open porch in angle with
four-panelled entrance door. Three first floor and two ground floor C20
casement windows. Interior: Chamfered axial beam with leaf stops and
exposed timber-frame, two original hearths of brick and clunch; stack
reduced in C20 to first floor.
