BARTLOW HADSTOCK ROAD TL 5845 (West Side) 17/36 The Forge and two 27.10.82 cottages adjoining (formerly listed as Bartlow End House and two cottages adjoining) II Cottage. C16, C17. Timber-framed rendered and tiled with ridge stack and later projecting side stack to crosswing. Main range and east crosswing. Two storeys. Crosswing, C16, jettied at first floor and carried on curved brackets. Modern casements to gable end of first and ground floors. Main range C17. Two storeys with two modern casements to each. Baffle entry doorway. Adjoining is a pair of C18-C19 timber-framed and long straw thatch cottages. Shared ridge stack removed above the roof. One storey and attic. Two dormers. One window and a door to each cottage.
