4/82 Nos. 41 (The Orchards) and 42 (formerly listed as Nos 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 17/11/66 47, 48, 49)

2 houses. Late C18. Header bond brick with slate roof. Double-depth plan with a total of 4 bays and 3 storeys. No. 42 has an off-centre 4-panel door with overlight, architrave and flat hood. Two tripartite sash windows with cambered brick arches on ground and first floors and 2 small 4-pane sash windows on second floor. Ridge chimney stack. Eaves cornice. The front of No. 41 was completely rebuilt in C19 to accommodate a change in floor levels making 2 floors instead of 3. It has 4 sash windows with stone sills, flat brick arches and no glazing bars and is now entered in the gable-end. The 6-pane door has pilasters and a radial fanlight. Also in the gable-end are four 12-pane sash windows (2 with glazing bars removed). Gable chimney stack.
