GV II

Cottage. Probably late C17 or C18. Extended in C20. Slate rubble, partly rendered. Thatched roof with gabled ends, the right hand end with raised hipped roof. Left hand end stack with stone rubble shaft with slate weathering and a rendered axial stack. Plan: The original house appears to be the 2 room plan cottage on the left with a central entrance and gable end stacks. The right hand part is probably a later addition which was raised in the C20 to a full 2 storeys. Exterior: 1 storey and attic and 2 storeys. The left end is one storey and attic with eyebrowed eaves in the thatch over the small late C19 attic casement; on the ground floor 2 small C20 4-pane sashes and central doorway with C20 glazed double doors and a C20 glazed porch. To the right the roof has been raised, C20 ground floor casement and C20 ariel above. Two C20 casements in the left hand gable end, the ground floor with a slate hoodmould. At the rear a C20 casement to left and large battered slate rubble buttress on right. Interior: Was not accessible at time of survey in 1988.
