Laithe house, later C18. Sandstone rubble with some quoins, stone slate roof with chimney at left gable and on ridge at junction with barn. Double-depth single-bay house, with 3-bay barn continued to right under same roof. Two-storey house has single-storey gabled porch with simple doorway at junction with barn, coupled vertical rectangular windows to the left, 2 windows at 1st floor (all with altered glazing). Barn has central segmental-headed wagon entrance with recessed doors. Left return wall of house has 2-storey lean-to; rear has single-storey lean-to and vertical rectangular windows. Rear of barn has deep continuous outshut descending to low rear wall, doorway in re-entrant side. Listed as good example of modest type.
