Berghane Hall
II
House. Early C18 extended at south east end and on south west front. Red
brick and slate roof with parapet gable end on kneelers, some repaired. Wood
modillion eaves cornice and flush end stacks. Double pile. Basement, two
principal storeys and attic. Moulded brick plat band between storeys carried
round the sides. Syinnetrical north elevation of seven, eighteen pane hung
sashes with thick glazing bars in gauged brick arches. Central doorway
approached by modern flight of ten steps replacing the original. Interior
not seen. Built by John Watson (d.1724).
