Two cottages, dated 1820 on lintel of rear lobby doorway, but possibly earlier and altered at that date; altered, now shop and garage. Watershot coursed sandstone blocks (vertical joint in rear wall between the 2 elements), yellow-washed front, stone slate roof with ridge chimney stack at junction. Four bays. Two low storeys; in centre of No.1 is through lobby, to the right a doorway with plain surround, 2 sashed windows at ground floor and one above, to left a large oblong shop window, and sliding garage doors to No.3, and 2 sashed windows above. Rear: doorway to through lobby has simple pediment inscribed W P S 1820: another doorway next to this, 2 windows at ground floor and 3 above, all with plain surrounds and originally sashed but one now blocked and 2 altered; No.3 has central back door and left of this one stepped triple-light window on each floor, both with the outer lights blocked.
