6/101 The Stables to Dullingham House
GV II
Stable block with flanking wings. Early C18, contemporary with the house. Red brick, with gauged red brick bands, window arches, cornice, and dentil enriched triangular pediment above archway. Hipped slate roofs. Main entrance facing west has coach houses with tall panelled doors flanking carriageway with round headed inner and outer arches; five oval windows with glazing bars at first floor. Domed arched wooden bell cote, partly slated, with iron weather vane finial. Stable range to left hand, converted to cottages, has ten transomed two-light casement windows with small panes and similar panes to rectangular fanlights above three, flush-panelled doors. Range to right hand, possibly including the tack room, has four similar windows and two doors; small ridge stack. (For references, see Dullingham House.)
