House, early-to-mid C18. Sandstone rubble with slate roof. 2 storeys. Ground floor has a window with plain reveals, with a blocked window to its right. At the left is a door with plain reveals and a flight of stone steps to a 1st floor door with plain stone surround. On the 1st floor are 2 sashed windows with plain stone surrounds. Chimney on left-hand gable. Gables have copings with kneelers. Said to have been built as the brew house for the Ship Inn. Sambo, an African slave buried nearby, is said to have died here in 1736.
