Details
SX 86 NW BROADHEMPSTON BROADHEMPSTON 2/60 Crickets - GV II Small house, at present in 2 units. Circa 1800, with C20 addition. Rendered rubble walls. Gable ended slate roof. 2 rendered gable end stacks, left hand one probably stone, right-hand one probably brick. Double depth plan with unequal sized rooms to the front, stair hall left of centre, and very small service rooms behind. Extended at rear in C20. 2 storeys and attic. Asymmetrical 3-window front of early C19 16-pane sashes with stone arches. 6-panel C19 door to left under gabled porch hood. Interior : contains fairly simple circa 1820-30 staircase with turned newel and stick balusters. To include C19 outbuilding, reputedly workshop, attached at rear; rubble with gable ended slate roof. Along each side at first floor level is a long window of several lights.
