SX 86 NW BROADHEMPSTON BROADHEMPSTON 2/64 The Vicarage - 28.7.86 II Vicarage. Mid C19 re-modelling of earlier house. Rubble wall with double pitched interlocking tiled roof, gable ended. Rendered brick stacks. Double depth plan with 3 principal rooms at the front and entrance hall to left of centre leading to stairwell. At the rear are smaller service rooms. Original 3-light casements on first floor with small panes, 2-light gable window. French windows on ground floor, left-hand one is C20 facsimile. Original panelled and glazed door to left of centre beneath gabled porch hood supported on heavy columns at front and pilasters at rear, with moulded capitals. Irregular arrangement of windows and door on rear facade. Interior: Front block contains original staircase, panelled doors and shutters.
