Details
SX 86 NW BROADHEMPSTON BROADHEMPSTON 2/66 Well House - II Farmhouse, now house. Probably circa early C18 re-modelled in C19. Rubble walls, stucco at front. Hipped asbestos slate roof. Lage rubble lateral stack at rear. Double depth plan, re-modelled in mid C19 with principal rooms at the front and central stairhall. Lateral stack to rear right hand room. Possibly integral outshut at rear behind stack projects behind right hand rear room. 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window facade of mid C19 4-pane sashes with glazed C20 door at centre which has rectangular fanlight above with radial glazing bars. Outshut projects at rear on left hand side. Interior inaccessible at time of survey but seen to contain heavy timber lintel to lateral fireplace and mid C19 staircase with turned newels and stick balusters.
