BEVERLEY TRINITY LANE TA 0339 (east side) 10/369 The Railway Station 7.10.86 GV II
Railway station, 1846 by G T Andrews for the York and North Midland Railway with later additions and alterations for the North Eastern railway. Brick into slate roofs. Main elevation symmetrical,with wings with 4 windows in recesses flanking centre section of 4 windows and 2 doors under later canopy, glazed, with iron brackets. Lower outer sections of the wings have 3 arches, blocked or with windows or doors. Tall brick chimneys. Good hipped glazed roof canopy over the track, altered circa 1900. Far platform has 6 windows with fixed glazing bars. Waiting room and yard doors. Footbridge linking platforms. Tile region map.
