11/121 Hayhurst Cottage and Hayhurst Farmhouse 13.2.1967 GV II
Pair of houses, probably late C17th and originally one house. Sandstone rubble with slate roof. 2 storeys. Hayhurst Cottage (at left) of one bay has mullioned windows with inner hollow chamfer, outer chamfer, and hoods: 5 lights on ground floor, 4 lights on 1st floor. Hayhurst Farmhouse is of 3 bays. Windows have plain reveals. Those on the 1st floor have flat lintels with false voussoirs and fluted false keystones. The outer 2 are sashed, the central one being blank. The door, in the right-hand bay, has a plain stone surround. Chimneys between houses and on right-hand gable. Inside, Hayhurst Cottage has 2 chamfered and stopped axial beams. Interior of Hayhurst Farmhouse not accessible at time of survey.
