5/145 The Old Rectory 20.10.81 - II
House, formerly the rectory, now divided into flats. Mid C18 with C19 front and service wing at rear. Soft red brick and gault brick with shallow pitch, hipped slate roof with deep, plastered eaves. T-plan, including stair turret in rear range. Basement and two storeys and attics. Sills and cambered arches to ranges of four hung sashes with glazing bars. Half-round cast-iron balconettes to second storey and stone band between first and second floors and main cornice between second and attic floors. Entry in north side. Inside there is a fine mid C18 closed string staircase of five flights with turned balusters.
