II
Row of 4 cottages. The 2 central cottages may be late C18, the 2 others are probably circa mid C19. Local stone rubble walls with some cob and slate-hanging. Gable ended slate roofs of differing heights, grouted to the left-hand cottage. 4 stacks - one to each gable end has 2 axial stacks. The right-hand stack is of rendered bricks, the others are rubble, the right-hand one of which is rendered. Originally 4 cottages, the right-hand 2 have been converted to one cottage. These cottages both probably had 2 rooms - one at the front, one at the back. The 2 left- hand cottages had 2 rooms at the front, one larger than the other. 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2:2:1:1 window front all with C19 small-paned 2-light casements apart from the right-hand cottage which has hornless 16-pane sashes and a C20 plank door to the left. The adjoining cottage is recessed and has a C20 part- glazed door to the left. The cottage to its left is also recessed and has an early C20 plank door to the left of centre. The left-hand cottage has a wide porch to right of centre with hipped roof supported on granite columns. Behind it is C20 part-glazed door. Interiors not inspected.
