1897. Wm Mortimer & Son (Lincoln) Shops. Brick with stone dressings and slate roof. Nos 14 and 16 retain most of their original shopfronts. Above No 14 has 6 light transom and mullioned window between brick pilasters topped with entablature and strapwork gable and stone finials. No 16 has 6 windows. 2 central ones have rounded heads with stone keystones, flanked by stone ornamental shafts which break through the entablature above into the Dutch gable. This contains a wide niche containing store Beehive. Remaining 4 windows similar though with segmental heads, above a stone balustrade crowning the entablature. No 18 has 2 sash windows below with segmental heads and stone keystones with continuous stringcourse over. Single sash above with alternating brick and stone voussoirs and small round headed gable with stone coping.
