Details

1. 5141 ORTON LONGUEVILLE THE VILLAGE (east side) No 9 (The Orchard) TL 1696 54/450 14.11.74 II GV 2. Early C18 house. Painted coursed stone rubble with flush quoins. Thatched roof with gabled ends. One storey and attic. Four gabled dormers at eaves with large 2-light casements. Ground floor right hand 3-light window and small fixed light window with glazing bars to left. Central glazed and panelled door with late C19 architrave and shaped pedimental hood on brackets. Rebuilt end brick stacks. C18 extension adjoining south, painted brick with Collyweston stone mansard roof, one storey and attic, one window and dormer. C19/20 brick wing at rear. RCHM(3) page 71.
