Hay barn. Probably early C19. For the Cradock family of Hartforth hall (qv). Rubble, Welsh slate roofs. 3-bay main range with single-bay lower range to south. Main range: quoins; 3 straight-headed full-height openings with quoins to separating piers; hipped roof. Lower range: doorway with ashlar surround and window. Left return of lower range: castellated gable of 3 sections, central one projecting slightly, with blind pointed arch and horizontal top edge, outer ones blank and with top edge sloping down.
