The Rowles
(formerly listed as The Rowell, previously listed as Cottage at National Grid reference SO361455)

Cottage. Probably late C18 or early C19 with later alterations. Timber-frame with brick infill. Welsh slate roof with sandstone rubble and brick external end stack. Rectangular two-bay plan aligned east/west. Two storeys. South elevation has two windows, two-light leaded casements. Ground floor has mid-C19 two-light casement to left-hand side. Late C20 stable glazed doors to right-hand side. Attached to left side is timber-framed lean-to. Left gable has end stack with attic light. Frame is four panels high from cill to wall-plate.
Interior inaccessible at time of re-survey (November 1986).
