Old White Bear Hotel
II
Inn of 1735, somewhat altered. Rubble with stone slate roof. Two storeys and 3 bays. To left on both storeys a former 5-light stone square mullion window now with only the 2 inner mullions. One similar window of 2 lights to right of door. Other windows are later. One chamfered triangular-headed doorway is now a window. The other has a hoodmould which is returned inwards at the ends and a plaque over with "B F Esquire 1735". Two chimneys. To right ancillary buildings with an external stone stair, restored from a ruin in later C19. At rear of inn is a 5-light recessed square mullion window and a round-headed doorway with impost blocks and keystone. Inside are stop-chamfered beams.
