Farmhouse. Early Cl7 with late C19 alterations. Brick on stone plinth, tile roof, stone coped verges. T-plan, stem extending to east, main stack at junction, lateral stack on rear (south) of stem of T, both with three diamond plan shafts. North front: gabled wing to right of two storeys with gable lit attic: a 3-light stone mullioned window; first floor: 3-light case- ment under segmental head and same to ground floor. Main range to left: two windows, left hand a 3-light stone mullioned window, to right a 3-light case- ment; ground floor: to left 3-light casement with stone moulded lintel, to right a 4-light casement; at extreme right the entrance with moulded wooden frame, ledged and studded board door with strap hinges. Interior not inspected. Graded II* as probably the earliest brick house in the county. (BoE, p 284).
