4/14 The Old Weymouth Arms and The Wharf (formerly 19.3.53 listed as The Wharf)

House, now sub-divided into two tenements. C15 with C17 cross-wing, further C20 alterations. Timber-framed with sandstone rubble plinth, part painted brick infill and part pebble dash render, part tiled and part stone slate roof. Hall of three bays aligned east/west with C17 cross-wing added to the west end; former through-passage now blocked. Lateral stacks to north and west. Single storey and attic to hall. North entrance front: one gabled dormer with 2-light casement window. Ground floor: one 2-light casement window and one similar window to right of projecting stack, C20 door with side light to right, gable end of cross-wing to right with 3-light casement window. Interior of hall block retains two mutilated cruck trusses, (RCHM, Vol III, p 142).
