7/37 Priory Corner (formerly Known as The Home Farm)

GV II

House. Mid C18 with C19 alterations. Pale brown brick in Flemish bond with red brick dressings, plain tile roof to front, pantiles to rear and outshuts. 3 storeys, 3 first floor windows, 2-storey C19 outshut to left, central C19 stair turret to rear with infill to right. Central 6-panel door early C19 pedimented portico of engaged pilasters and freestanding slender columns supporting a frieze and dentil cornice which continue across canted bays to either side which contain small-paned sashes. Canted bays break tile first floor band which continues across left gable end. First floor: sashes with glazing bars in flush wood architraves under flat arches of red brick. 3-course second floor band carried round left gable end. Second floor unequally-hung 9-pane sashes to outer bays, mock 9-pane sash to centre bay. Modillion eaves band. End stacks. Left gable has sashes with glazing bars under blocked elliptical arches.
