Farmhouse. C14 or C15 core, largely remodelled and extended during C17, late C19 alterations, further C20 additions. Square panelled timber-framing (revealed to interior), externally completely roughcast, sandstone rubble plinth and stacks with brick shafts, Welsh slate roof. Earlier wing aligned, north-east/south-west with cross-wing at south-west end, axial and lateral stacks, entrance to south-east front. Single storey and attic to earlier wing. Two storeys to cross-wing. South-east front: gabled dormer with 2-light casement window, one 3-light casement winnow to left and one 3-light and one 4-pane window to right of ledged door. Two 2-light casement windows to return of cross-wing to left. The cross-wing extends forward as an out- building with three openings to first floor and four openings to ground floor, one to right and three to left of stone external stairs. Interior reveals part of one cruck truss in centre of main range, chamfered ceiling beams with ogee stops. (RCHM, Vol III, p 167, item 60).
