GV II

Farmhouse. Early C17, extended mid-C19 and late C20 additions. Timber- frame with rendered infill extended in painted and rendered brick, all on a rubble plinth with tile roof. T-plan, C19 cross-wing aligned east/west, C17 range to south. Truncated lateral stack on west wall. West front: of two storeys, the cross-wing to the left having a glazing bar sash over a 3-light casement, both under segmental heads. Range to right has three 3-light casements, and on ground floor four casements under plank weatherings, that to left of centre fixed, the others of three lights. Framing: the south gable was formerly jettied, but now underbuilt. The walls are four square panels high with straight angle braces. The gable-end truss has three struts to the collar, V-struts in the apex and trenched purlins. (RCHM, 3, p 86, no 72).
