Details
SU 61 NW SOBERTON 7/66 East Hoe House 6.3.67 II House. C18, with some mid C19 features, and C20 extensions, walls of brickwork in Flemish bond with blue headers, plinth, 1st floor band, rubbed flat arches (plastered), stone cills: rear wall of mathematical tiles in Flemish bond. Tile roof, double pile, hipped at the west end, gabled dormers. Symmetrical north front of two storeys and attic five above two windows, with west side C20 extension of two windows. Casements. Doorcase of non-standard Order, with a pediment, modillion cornice, pilasters and 6-panelled door. The rear (south) elevation is two storeys three windows, with projecting C20 wing at the west side of one window. Casements. Doorcase with cornice on console brackets, architrave, and French door. There is a single-storeyed service wing (late C19) at the east end. Inside, there is an C18 dog-leg oak staircase, with twisted baluster rails.
