House. c1800 with late C20 alterations and additions. Finely jointed red brick with shallow-pitched slate roof, gable-end parapets and end stacks. Three storeys with moulded eaves cornice to front, cogged eaves cornice to rear. Three bays; windows have gauged flat heads with moulded keyblocks and stone sills; ground and first floor windows are 16-pane sashes; seocnd floor windows are 2-light casements. Central entrance has a C2.0 surround with pediment, pilasters and entablature, panelled reveals and a 6-panelled door, the upper two panels of which are glazed. There is a contemporary rear two-storey wing, parallel to the main range, at the centre of which is the present main entrance with porch and doorcase in Georgian style. The house stands in a prominent position at the junction of five streets.
