Pair of houses, of early-mid C19 appearance. Incised rendered walls; pantiled
roofs with stone copings and kneelers. 2 storeys, 2 bays each, irregular.
Strauton has Victorian 4-panel door flanked by 2 small windows, one a 4-pane
sash, the other a 6-pane fixed light. Upper floor blank. Roma, on left, has a
door of 6 fielded panels, with similar flanking windows, and a blankfirst floor
except for a very small modern casement at left. Very large curved kneelers at
ends. Steps down to basement door on right return of Strauton; 2 modern
casements above. Rear elevation 3 storeys and basement, 2 and 1 bays. Strauton
has left bay blank but for a small inserted casement. Right tripartite window
with glazing bars and central opening section. French windows on first floor,
modern pivoted casement above. Roma has horizontal sash with fixed transom
light, and 12-pane sashes above. Lean-to and attached shed are not of special
interest.
