Details
CLAPHAM-CUM-NEWBY RIVERSIDE SD 7496 (west side) 13/19 Fall View (formerly listed as The Beeches) 20.2.58 GV II House. Mid C18 with early C19 alterations. Pebbledash, painted stone dressings, stone slate roof. Central staircase plan. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Entrance left of centre has Tuscan pilasters, open pediment; 6 panel door and glazed fanlight. 3 windows per storey, have plain surrounds and projecting sills; sashes. Pilaster strips, each separate right-hand bay and The Beeches (upper cottage) to left, which was formerly part of Fall View. Shaped modillions at eaves. Right-hand gable end and ridge stacks to left and right of centre. At rear is mid C18 moulded surround to former entrance, now blocked. Interior: dog-leg staircase, stick balusters, ramped handrail.
