Details
DEWSALL CP - SO 43 SE 6/52 about 30 yards Stables about 30 yards 20.10.52 north-east of Dewsall Court (formerly listed with Dewsall Court) GV II
Stables. Probably late C17 to early C18. Sandstone rubble with timber-frame and brick infill. Weatherboards and Welsh slate roof half-hipped to the left. Rectangular five-bay plan aligned roughly east/west. One storey. North elevation has deep sandstone plinth built up on falling ground, three square openings and two battered buttresses, the left one of brick. Upper portion to left is weatherboarded. Brick nogging in irregular thin framing to centre and right. Re-used corner post with scotch to right-hand side. West gable has central blocked opening. V-struts above collar. South elevation has five boarded openings and four ledged and studded doors. Interior has racks and two trusses with triple angle struts. Other trusses have plain collars and ties.
