LOW ABBOTSIDE ASKRIGG-SEDBERGH ROAD NORTH YORKSHIRE RICHMONDSHIRE 5339 SD 99 SW (north side) 8/160 Milestone approximately 400 metres west of junction with Bainbridge road - II Milestone. c1761. Sandstone. Stone approximately 600 mm high, rounded shaft on square base. Weathered inscription, perhaps "S 19". Benchmark near base of shaft. On the Askrigg-Sedbergh turnpike road of 1761.
