II
C17, late C19. A Victorian-Tudor refronting of former 3 cottages, of timber-framed origin (surviving within on the first-floor). Two storeys. Tile roof; hipped projections at the rear, the front having 2 gables, with brackets to the intervening eaves. The rendered walling has a plinth. Casement upper windows, sashes to the ground-floor. Three Gothic entrances, the central one projecting as a porch, with gables, impost mouldings to Tudor arches, lower buttresses. To the east side a small hall projects forward, of similar style, with a prominent gable containing a large mullion and transom window. An important element in the local setting.
