Rose memorial about one metre south of chancel of Church of St Cassian

Chest tomb. Died 1796. Sandstone ashlar. Flat top, moulded plinth, corner balusters, two rectangular inscription panels to south side with quadrants cut out of each corner. Left-hand panel: "Sacred/ to the memory of / James Rose/ who departed this life/ the 9th May 1796/ aged 65 years". Right-hand panel: "To/ the memory of/ Henry Rose/ who departed this life/ the 28 October 1749/ Aged 21 years". James Rose was the architect of the tower and spire of the church.
