Details
KEMERTON CP - SO 9436 - 9536 12/80 The Villa - II
House. Circa 1730 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Rendered coursed limestone rubble, ashlar-faced to front. Slate roof with gable-end parapets and rebuilt ashlar ridge end stacks. The rear wing has a plain tiled roof. Two storeys and attic with dormers with band between main storeys and moulded eaves cornice at front. Three bays with pilaster strips at ends. The windows on the main storeys are all cross-casements and there is a central hipped- roofed dormer with a 2-light casement. The central entrance has a pediment above a rusticated surround (on corresponding blocks each side is inscribed "THE VILLA") and there is a half-glazed door. There is a substantial wing to the rear right of the main house.
