Threshing barn. Probably early C17 with later alterations. Magnesian limestone rubble with asbestos roof.Two storeys, four bays with single-storey outshuts to each end.C20 barn entrance between two flat-headed entrances.First floor: pitching doors to 1st and 3rd bays otherwise blocked window openings. Triangular and slit breathers.Interior: king post roof with chamfered beams.Beams to both sides for threshing machinery. Notable as part of a C17 complex including Hall Farm (q.v.), Cowshed and Granary (q.v.) Stables (q.v.) and Burton Cottage and Chantries Cottage (q.v.) (reputed to have been the original Hillam Hall).
