ROCKBOURNE (east side) SU 11 NW 5/50 Hendleys Cottage
II
Small house. C17 extended C18, altered C20 and older core. Brick, part weatherboarded, part tilehung, plain tile roof. End onto road 3 bay and stack bay, 2 1/2 storey with wing to rear side on stack bay and low link at far end to C20 range at right angles. Front has stack bay as 2nd from road. Allother bays have 2 or 4-light casement. Raised brick band running above heads of windows. 1st floor has painted weatherboarding 2 or 3-light casement in 3 bays. On roof 3 C20 2-light eyebrow dormers. Roof half-hipped and ridge stack to stack bay. Road end has 4-light casement, over old 2-light casements, and 2 date stones 1626 and 1726.
