Details
HIGH STREET 1. 1133 (South Side) Nos 4 and 4a ST 4938 7/49 II GV 2. One house. Probably early C19. 3 storeys. Ashlar front. Moulded cornice, parapet. Plain pilasters flank front. 3 sashes with projecting voussoirs, thin glazing bars. Mid-cl9 double-fronted shop with panelled Tuscan pilasters to left. Doorway with rectangular fanlight. Modern shop-window to right. All the listed buildings from Nos 2 to 10 with No 12 (South side), and from Crown Hotel to No 11(North side), and the Market Cross and Nos 6 to 9 (consec) Market Place form an extremely important group.
