OVERBURY CP - SO 9437 - 9537 9/120 Game larder about 50 yards north-east of Overbury Court GV II

Game larder. Circa 1900 and probably by Richard Norman Shaw. Limestone ashlar. Stone tiled roof laid in diminishing courses and with overhanging eaves supported at each gable end on corbels. Small rectangular plan. Single storey with chamfered plinth. Side elevations are of two bays and have 3-light windows with transoms; the windows are unglazed and the north windows have wire mesh infill whilst the south windows are louvred. The east gable end has two 2- light windows whilst the west gable end has one 2-light window and a door with a moulded architrave. At both gable ends the windows have wire mesh infill and the gable apex above is louvred. At the centre of the roof ridge is a large hipped-roofed rectangular lantern with two louvred panels at each side. This small building is prominently situated adjacent to the present main entrance to Overbury Court (qv) and to the coach-house (qv).
