OVERBURY CP - SO 9437 - 9537 9/122 Gazebo about 100 yards south of Overbury Court GV II
Gazebo. Circa 1900 reconstruction of a C18 or earlier structure. Limestone ashlar. Pyramidal stone-tiled roof laid in diminishing courses with swept eaves and ball finial. Square plan. Two storeys. Windows are all of two lights with chamfered mullions, moulded architraves and casements. Main south- west elevation has a first floor window and a door with a moulded architrave. There is a first floor window in the north-west and north-east elevations. The south-east elevation has a door with six raised and fielded panels and a moulded architrave at first floor level to accommodate the difference in ground levels on this side. The building was originally situated in the gardens of a house near Burford. It was re-erected in the gardens of Overbury Court (qv) on a site adjacent to the main west approach into the village and in view of the main south front of Overbury Court.
